Grimani Systems was founded by two pioneers whose careers helped shape both professional cinema and high-performance audio.
Anthony Grimani
Former Dolby Laboratories and THX engineer Anthony Grimani spent decades developing reference cinema environments, immersive audio systems, and acoustic standards that continue to influence home theater design around the world.
His work focused on a simple but profound question:

Manny LaCarrubba
Recording engineer, acoustician, inventor, and Grimani Systems co-founder Manny LaCarrubba developed the Conic Section Array™ waveguide, the principal acoustic technology behind Grimani Systems loudspeakers.
Manny began developing controlled-directivity loudspeaker technologies in the mid-1990s before founding Sausalito Audio to commercialize patents related to this work.
That intellectual property was later integrated into commercial products manufactured by Bang & Olufsen of Denmark.
From Sausalito recording rooms to private cinema.
Earlier in his career, Manny spent a decade as a staff and later chief engineer at the famed Sausalito recording studio, The Plant.
His engineering credits include tracks and albums for Santana, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Kenny G, Mariah Carey, and many more. He also designed several of The Plant’s seminal recording rooms.
Manny earned a Bachelor of Science in Tonmeister Studies from the State University of New York at Fredonia, holds several loudspeaker patents, and is a member of the Audio Engineering Society.
Together, Grimani and LaCarrubba combined cinema standards, studio craft, patented acoustics, and loudspeaker science into a new approach to immersive audio reproduction.
